Movie Review: Forest Gump

Rating: 5

This is our revenge to all the websites that gave this movie a low score. We can’t understand the part where it was not a good story. The lines are great and actors and actresses did a great job in portraying their roles. Combining every elements of script writing, acting, and story, makes it  a great movie. We would highly recommend it to those haven’t watch it yet. And hell yeah, this is one of our favorite movies.

Why We Love It?

A movie for introverts

Forrest Gump shown how it is to be different. We are introverts and most of time, were misunderstood by those “cool kids” in school. They call us names and make fun of us every single day. So my friend and I could relate to Forrest, we know how it feels like to be rejected due to our uniqueness.

Inspiring movie

The movie gives hope to the viewers that one day cards will turn into your favor. You cannot be always at the bottom, there will be a time that you’ll rise above the things that limit you. After watching the movie, we appreciate ourselves more and embraced our uniqueness. It inspired us to do well and give life a second chance.

Awesome piano music

After watching the movie, we went online right away to find the title of the background music. Unsurprisingly, it was the Forrest Gump piano theme. It’s nice to know that the music directors gave it time and a whole lot of effort to come up with such powerful music.

Striking Lines

Here comes our favorite part. We promised you not to give much spoilers but let us at least convince you that it has a good script.

Favorite dialogue

It’s obvious that Forrest would propose to his childhood best friend, Jenny. Forrest has been in love with her ever since but Jenny won’t notice or probably doesn’t want to know.

Forrest Gump: Will you marry me?
Forrest Gump: I’d make a good husband, Jenny.
Jenny Curran: You would, Forrest.
Forrest Gump: But you won’t marry me.
Jenny Curran: You don’t wanna marry me.
Forrest Gump: Why don’t you love me, Jenny?
Forrest Gump: I’m not a smart man… but I know what love is.

Here are another striking lines….

“My mama always said, ‘Life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.”

“Run, Forrest! Run!”

I don’t know if we each have a destiny, or if we’re all just floating around accidental-like on a breeze. But I, I think maybe it’s both.
